Spring 2010

We finally made it to spring and the end of the school. The famous strawberry farm is opened, flowers are blooming and the sun is getting hot. We even got the pool ready to swim in. She helped her daddy push the green goo! Well actually she went in the goo while her daddy sucked it up. She figured if she helped the quicker the pool would be ready for her to swim in. Now that it is ready for swimming she is in it almost everyday!
Madison just finished up another season of soccer. Next season she will be moving up to an all girls team. But before that she will be attending her first soccer camp this summer. She is looking forward to learning new skills and improving her play.

She also has only a couple more days of being in 1st grade....she is looking forward to the summer. She already has a list of activities planned.

With the end of the school year coming so is dance. She is doing ballet, tap and jazz this year. She is so excited about the dance recital coming up at the end of june.

On top of all that, Maddie will also be attending a horse camp for the week. They will teach her how to ride, feed and groom the horses. Also she will be doing some arts and crafts. She is counting down the days till this.

She is growing up fast. I can't believe that she will be 7 at the end of August. Were does the time go!!!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Well we made it through another christmas and another year. We spend Christmas Eve at my parents house. And then Christmas Day at my moms in the morning and Rob's mom in the afternoon. We had lots of fun.
Before Madison went to bed she put out reindeer food and cookies, milk and a few questions she had for Santa.
Madison finally got the Wii that she has been asking for and has not stopped playing. She also got roller skates that she has been trying very hard to stay up on.
I hope everyone had a safe and Merry Christmas and I hope the New Year brings everyone joy and happiness.

Busy, Busy, Busy

We have been very busy these past few months. Madison had her first dance recital, which she did great. I think I was more nervous then she was. She has started first grade and is loving every minute of it. She is now reading chapter books by herself and they are finishing up learning how to add; next is subtractions.

After school she has been dancing again, ballet and tap. She also started something new, it is called Ponies and Ride. She has learned how to clean, saddle and ride miniture ponies. She can not wait to start it again in the spring. And to top it all off, she is playing soccer agian. She is learning a lot and avearging 3 goals per game.

See below for new pictures.

Asheboro, NC 2009

Rob and I have been married for 8 years this May and decided to go to Asheboro for Our Anniversary. Of course, we took Madison. This year we went Horse back riding and to the NC Zoo. Madison's highlight was the riding. The horse she had was named Daisy and when she got on it, she looked like a pro. We were on the trail for over an hour and she never stopped smiling. She even got the horse to run a little and giggled the whole time. She now wants us to move to a house with more property so she can get a horse.

The Zoo was also a lot of fun. Even if though the weather was bad, we had a blast. Her favorite was the giraffe and the zebras. She made friends with a polar bear that was doing tricks in the water and a very friendly gorilla who kept scratching his stomache. She loved every minute of it.

As of today Madison has only 11 days of school left and summer vactaion begings. She can not wait to be done.

Keeping Busy

Madison started soccer again. So far she is doing really good at practice. Her first game was suppose to be last week but it was rained out. She is looking forward to her first game on 3/17, we are just praying it does not rain.

Madison is also busy in dance class. She is learing both tap and ballet. She can not wait to get on stage in June to show us all what she has learned. I hope when she gets up there she actually dances.

This weekend we are heading to Fayetville to see Playhouse Disney. This is the only thing she has been talking about all the week.

School is going well for her. She is reading on a 1st grade level and is enjoying counting by 5's and 10's. Keep up the good work KID!!!!

Madison's first Snow

Yeap, it snowed here in the Carolina's. School was closed on Tuesday due to the 1 inch of snow that we got and they had a two hour delay on Wend. due to the low tempture and ice.

Madison was so excited to see the snow. She ran from window to window watching it fall. We spent most of the day outside with the neighborhood kids. Our next door neighbor had a sleigh which the kids took it to the ditch behing the houses to ride. We call in Red Neck sleigh ride. She made her first snow angel and had her first snowball fight. This of course ended in a disaster. She ended up getting hit in the mouth with the snow ball, which she now has a fat lip. All and all the day was great!

Scroll down for some fun snow pictures!

Merry Christmas

Well, Madison has made it through her first half of kindergarten. So far she loves it. She is making many new friends. She has learned to write simple sentences like "I like my cat." and " I see a dog." Her handwriting is getting better everyday. She is also reading simple books. A day does not go that she does not read a book. Her favorite classes are art and gym.

She is very excited that Santa Claus is coming and hopes he brings everything she wishes for, (which would be the whole target store). She asks every night before she goes to better if he will be here. She is counting down the days.

I hope this finds everyone well and ready for the holidays. Merry Christmas and have a save and Happy New Year.
